GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is great image manipulation software which has a lot of features similar to commercial software like Adobe Photoshop. GIMP is basically a pixel (bitmap) based image manipulation software. If you are not aware of it check it out. It is even available in the following versions GIMP for Windows and GIMP for Mac.

Inkscape and GIMP are two open-source alternatives for Adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator. Amazing most of the Fedora-Artworks are created using either of these software.
